Personal Bio:
Sharlene Chance was born in Georgetown, Guyana South America and at a young age moved to Columbus, Ohio where she was raised. Sharlene attended Capital University Law School and graduated in 1999. She was awarded Ohio’s Outstanding Young Lawyers in 2009. Ms. Chance served in the Army Reserve from 1990-1996. As a single parent to a 15 year old son, Sharlene enjoys attending his football and basketball games as well as his track and field events. She enjoys teaching Sunday school for the Children’s Ministry at her church and loves reading, shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Business Bio: Sharlene has 20 years of experience as an attorney. She has worked in the private sector and in the public sector with the appellate court and state and county government. Ms. Chance is an experienced civil litigator, researcher and writer, mediator and public speaker. She joined the Franklin County Clerk of Courts Office in 2016 as the Legal Compliance Officer. She advises the administrative and managerial staff on day-to-day legal and procedural issues. Sharlene believes that every family deserves to have their interests protected. She will work hard to ensure that the clients needs are met and achieve a result that is best for themselves and their families. |
